Fall 2005 - Adam Galleries

Thanksgiving/ Red Wing Holiday : These are just a few pictures from Thanksgiving, and a trip Kristi and I took to visit my mom and aunt in Red Wing. The festival in Red Wing was basically a "welcome Christmastime" kind of event. Lots of lights, carolers, a living nativity, window decorations and so on. After they had turned on all the Christmas lights in the town, they told everyone there was a special suprise that they wanted to show everyone. They told us to look at the bluff and hyped it so much we acually thought there was going to be some HUGE light display up there. Check out picture 15 to see what we saw......yea....all I can say is, "wow."
Lots of fun had by all though.

Tornado in Ames : Went out just before the game and saw a tornado moving through North Ames. In picture 10, you can barely see what is a stovepipe shapped tornado on the horizon. It doesn't look like much, but we were also a few miles away from it.

Fall in Lake Mills : It was a beautiful fall day in Lake Mills, so I decided it was worth some pictures, and Kristi wanted to take our ex-dog Buddy, for a walk (If you don't know about him, its a looong story). The trees are on Kristi's grandparents farm, boy, they were beautiful. There are also some pictures of me and my first time fencing, I started out a bit slow, but ended strong! The horses also seem to have taken a liking to me, even grandma was a little jealous... :)
The farming pictures are from a few days later. Kristi and I went up to her Dads/Uncles/Grandpas farm to become "farmers" for a few hours. Lots of fun had by all.

Des Moines Marathon (Scott) : Ohhh Scott....thats all I can say. This was his second marathon so Kristi and I decided to go cheer him on. He did very well, and even trained this time, but he learned one BIG lesson...never race with shoes you didn't train in....its funny cause he was the one who always told me to make sure to not race in new shoes.
While we were there we also saw Tony, (Kristi's Boss) running with his wife. They were doing very well. (When we saw them)
As you can probably tell, Scott was a bit exausted at the end of the race, but we are still VERY proud of him.
